'A.G. Football' is the 1992 export version of the 1991 USA game 'A.G. Soccer-Ball'. Its playfield and cabinet depict the game of European football, also called futbol, but known in the USA as soccer. This 2-player export flipper game is not to be confused by name with the 1-player 1992 flipperless redemption game 'U.S.A. Football' from this same manufacturer and which used the same unique head-to-head cabinet style but which has a very different playfield layout and an American football theme on its playfield and cabinet. The flyer shown here is printed with the correct export name of 'A.G. Football' but inexplicably shows a game with cabinet and playfield aprons having the name 'Soccer-Ball' on them, an image that appeared earlier on the flyer for that 1991 USA game 'A.G. Soccer-Ball' and likely was a sample version of the USA game. The manufacturer certainly knew the playfields of these two games were the same (although the name on the cabinet and aprons of course would be different) but issued the flyer that way. The game pictured here is located in Europe and has the cabinet and playfield aprons clearly marked "A.G. Football". Its playfield and cabinet depict the game of European football (futbol). ROMs for this game are in the Files Section. Reportedly, there are at least two versions of ROMs: R07U (July 1992) and R18U (April 1993). We do not know which version we have (no README.TXT) other than they are labeled 1992.
