According to an article in The Billboard, Nov-1-1947, page 114, United broke ground in October of that year at California and Roscoe in the northwestern section of Chicago to build their new manufacturing facility, to have a floor area of approximately 70,000 square feet, with expectations to move into it by June 1948. 'Blue Skies' is the first United pin game advertised in Billboard at this new plant at 3401 N. California Avenue. A sign posted on the property in 2022 advertised this building for lease at 72,000 square feet.
