The 2-player version of this game is Gottlieb's 1977 'Mustang'. We previously showed a date for this game of April 1977. The new date is per Gottlieb documentation. A special version of this 4-player Model 396 game was made for export to Germany only. The backbox had 100,000-point relays for each player, numbered J1 thru J4. However, the backglass was the same as the domestic games, not silkscreened to show an actual number of 100,000 for each player. Instead, to indicate 100,000 points was achieved, the Player light above each set of score reels (1, 2, 3, or 4) would individually illuminate. Otherwise, these numbers remained dark. The German coin door had three coin chutes and associated coining adjustments. Gottlieb Domestic & Export Sales Sheets for Bronco: 9160 total Domestic Sales: 2863 Export Sales: 6297, of which 1080 were sold to Germany. The above total does not include 294 Sample games produced in 1976 per handwritten documentation identified by Wayne Neyens as coming from Bob Malvasio, a draftsman for Gottlieb whose initials RHM can be found on schematics. Two schematic diagrams were produced and had different title information as follows: RHM-1-21-77-396, copyright 1976 (Germany) RES-1-26-77-396, copyright 1977 (all except Germany)
