Ace High
The backglass carries Gottlieb's famous phrase: Amusement Pinballs, as American as Baseball and Hot Dogs! The BOM for this replay game is dated 12-21-56. The single-player games manufactured by Gottlieb up to this point, including 'Ace High', did not have a match feature or a Game Over relay. This meant that the flippers could still be activated by the player even after all balls had been played. Single-player Gottlieb games manufactured after 'Ace High' had a match feature and a Game Over relay which shut off power to the flippers. An Extended Play version of this game was made as Gottlieb's 1957 'Ace High (Extended Play Prototype)'.
To earn a Special: (a) light Queens, Kings or Aces, (b) complete suits and (c) reach a certain score.
Hitting the center of a bullseye advances the Queen, King and Ace lights.
3 Queens scores a Special. 3 Kings scores 3 Specials. 1 Ace scores a Special. 3 Aces scores 8 Specials.
It's critical to nudge when playing woodrails, but remember that tilt ends game.
